Consumer Credit Counseling Service BBB Business Review

John Jackson
Executive Director

John became Executive Director of Consumer Credit Counseling Service in February of 2013.  In addition to his Director position with CCCS, John serves on the Board of Directors for our local Circles Campaign and is currently serving as the President of the area’s Community Service Council.

John and his wife Kim reside in Parkersburg with their 3 children, Wyatt and Logan (twins) and daughter Shae, and 4 cats.  John is a HUGE fan of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and the NFL’s Tennessee Titans.   In fact, the license plate on the family’s car reads “10CTITNS” while John’s truck plate is “AIR 9” in honor of Titan QB Steve “Air” McNair.  Two of the family’s cats are named after Sixers; “Iggy” (Andre Iguodala) and “Noel” (Nerlens Noel). John also claims the remedy to any bad day is re-watching the “Music City Miracle” and insisted we put the link up on the website.

John lived in New Jersey until he was 15, when his father became owner/publisher of The Shinnston News in Harrison County, WV.  John graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fairmont State with a degree in Business Administration.

While continuing her service to CCCS, Tammy received her Associates Degree in Social Work from WVU at Parkersburg in 2001. Tammy received the award for Outstanding Public Service given by the Social Security Administration in 2002.  Awarded by the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill of West Virginia (NAMI), Tammy received the Excellence in Community Based Service Award in 2003.  In 2003 Tammy was also recognized by Consumer Credit Counseling Service’s Board of Directors for her dedication and commitment to the people served by CCCS.

Tammy acted as the Interim Executive Director from 2011 to 2013 where she returned to her life’s passion as the current Payee Manager of the agency. She continues to attribute her success with CCCS and the community from her Friend and Mentor, June Shelene, who served as the agency’s Executive Director for over 30 years.
